Black Tourmaline

Is known as one of the most protective grounding stones, often used to absorb negative energy and support emotional purification. It’s typically a deep, almost jet black with a raw, striated texture, and forms in long prismatic crystals within granite and pegmatite. Many people actually keep a piece near their front door or workspace as a kind of energetic filter, a stone that quietly does its job in the background rather than demanding attention.

Tiger’s eye

Is a metamorphic rock formed when quartz gradually replaces a fibrous mineral called crocidolite, preserving the original fibre structure within the stone. That’s what creates the chatoyancy, the silky optical effect that shifts as light moves across it, set off by the stone’s warm golden bands. It’s the same phenomenon you see in a cat’s eye, which is exactly where the name comes from.

Tiger’s Eye is widely associated with confidence, clarity, and focus, and is often reached for as protection against negative energy. It’s the stone people reach for when they need to make a decision, hold their nerve, or stop second guessing themselves.

Amethyst 

Is a variety of quartz, coloured by iron and natural irradiation during its formation. It’s one of the most studied crystals in the wellness world, and there are good reasons it keeps showing up.

It’s long been associated with calm and mental clarity. People reach for it when their thoughts are racing or sleep feels out of reach. There’s a reason it’s been used in everything from ancient Greek drinking vessels to modern meditation practice.

 Iron content gives amethyst its purple hue, and that same mineral composition is believed to carry a gentle grounding energy.

Crystal Bracelet General Advice:

Cleansing
Crystals can pick up energy from handling, travel, and everyday wear, so many people like to cleanse them before first use and every so often after. A few simple methods:

• Rinse briefly under cool running water, avoid soaking or leaving your bracelet wet for long periods as this can weaken the elastic over time. Pat dry afterwards

• Leave in direct moonlight overnight, a full moon is popular but not essential

• Pass through the smoke of incense, sage, or palo santo

• Place near a cluster of clear quartz or selenite, both are known for cleansing other stones

Charging

After cleansing, some people like to “charge” their bracelet, essentially setting an intention or giving it a moment of focus before wearing. This might mean holding the bracelet while thinking of what you want it to support, whether that’s calm, confidence, or simply a reminder to slow down.

Everyday use

Wear your bracelet whenever you want a little extra support close to you, on your wrist during the day, or slipped off and held during a quiet moment. There’s no wrong way to wear it, it’s really about what feels right for you.

Storage

Remove before swimming, showering, or activities where it might catch or knock against hard surfaces, this helps protect both the stones and the elastic. When not worn, keep it somewhere it won’t knock against harder materials, a soft pouch or lined box works well. Direct sunlight for long periods can fade the colour of some stones, so a shaded spot is best for storage.

A note on care

These are natural stones, so completely uniform colouring and shape are part of what makes each piece special. Elastic cords can wear over time with regular use, if yours ever feels loose or worn, it’s best to stop wearing it to avoid losing stones.
