The Scent & The Science

Bergamot is a citrus oil pressed from the peel of the bergamot orange, widely used in aromatherapy for its calming, uplifting effect on mood. It’s also the oil that gives Earl Grey tea its distinctive flavour.

Mandarin brings a sweeter, softer citrus note than orange or lemon, often associated with comfort and gentle energy.

Lychee adds a juicy, floral sweetness that rounds out the citrus top notes and stops them feeling too sharp.

As the candle burns down, caramel and vanilla take over. Vanilla is one of the most researched scents for its soothing, stress reducing properties, while caramel adds a warm, sweet depth that makes the whole thing feel cosy rather than sickly.
